- There is a field in Corbettstown about six miles from the city of Kilkenny where treasure is supposed to be hidden. The field gets its name from a hole which was dug when searching for the treasure and which is still to be seen.
A story is told that a man named Jim Delaney who lived in Kilmadum dreamt about the money and he and two others agreed to go and look for it.
