  1. There are many graveyards in the parish. The biggest of them is the graveyard adjoining the Church of the Immaculate Conception. There are many beautiful monuments and crosses in it. It is the principal burial ground of all Catholic familys in the parish for almost a hundred years.
    There is also a graveyard attached to the Protestant Church outside the town. Catholics and Protestants are buried there because in olden times it was a Catholic Church.
    There is a graveyard in Smithstown and in it stands the ruins of an old chapel which was used as a chapel of ease in days gone by.
