Ar an leathanach seo
- Montgomery was the name of the landlord. He did not reside in the district but lived at Bessmount, near Monaghan, and afterwards went to Dublin He was not a bad landlord and no evictions occured in the district. Yet he was very exacting about the rates which were due twice yearly - May + November. Very often people were agitating to have their rents reduced but they never succeeded and their agitation bore no fruit.
