    These hell-hounds come from Lower town.

    Vast numbers swarmed Tyredigan
    And threatened Cornawall.
    Get Bartley's ladder if you can
    Put it to Croarkin's wall
    And from the topmost run you'll view
    These fleas o'er Tatna gall.
    The "fleas" are the National Volunteers,
    On the same subject:-
    Down the slopes of Dooskey
    Came a band with heavy tread
    Packed helmets on & eyes afire
    Wee Henry at their head.
    "Wee Henry" - Henry Rooney - died some years ago.
