    Friday is counted a lucky day for a beginning.
    It is supposed any person who is born on Whit Sunday will cause a lot of annoyance. It is supposed that there should be no potatoes put in after the twelfth of May. The cross day off the year is Good Friday.

  2. Fridays are looked on as unlucky days. If you eat bacon after twelve o'clock you will come thro' some danger. To do any work on a Sunday is unlucky even to make a cake of bread. Saturday is unlucky to work too hard. The first day of April is called
