  1. At the narrow gurgling stream John Bailey died about thirty years ago. He was resident of Drumlougher, Crossmaglen, County Armagh. As he was ploughing in his field called the "River field" he heard a hollow sound. Digging down about four feet he came across a flat stone.
    He decided to investigate it and unearthed it and under the flat stone was gold. He covered it up again and went on with his ploughing. He decided that he would come back the following night. When he came back he had a spade, a pick and a bag for gold but when he came back and dug in several parts of the field where he though the gold had been hidden he could not find it so he though that
