- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Kelly and Rutledge families in Albert Street, and by the Gorman and Duffy families in Cornahoe (Ballintra district), the later family were locally known by the Corrie family at Bowelk, the McManus family in Corrybrennan, and the McDonnell family in upper Main Street. In the forge of the later family worked one of the last woman smiths in local memory. This venerable old lady is still alive, and it is said that she could strike better than a man.
In in the townlands of Shane, Greagh, and Drumhowan many families made their living by spinning yarn for the linen mills at Creeve. The "Niece McDonell" family of Drumhown are still in possession of the spinning wheel used by their great-grandmother, and they cherish it very much.
Linen and meal industries were carried on by the Jackson families in Creeve and attached to the linen mills were bleach-greens(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
