  1. Marriages frequently take place before and after Lent and Advent. The lucky days on which to get married is Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses, Saturday not day at all. This rhyme shows the lucky and unlucky days on which to get married.
Long ago matches were made. The man would go to the house of the bride and get her parents consent.
