  1. "Snap-Apple" night falls on the thirty-first of October. It is a very joyful night for children, as they play a great number of games.
    First of all they get a tub, and half. fill it with water Then, they put a few apples into it. Then, one person at the time tries to catch one of the apples, and the person that would catch it could eat it.
    Some more people get a cord, and they hang the apples from the rafters of the house.
    Then in turn, every person's hands would be tied behind their backs and they would try to catch the apples.
    Some more get three basins and they put earth into one of them, water into another rand a ring into the other. Then each person in his turn would put a cap on his eyes, and he would walk to the table, and put his hand
