  1. One day in the year 1877, John O Sullivan left Coom with a beautiful black mare, with the intention of going to Puck Fair for another horse.
    When he reached Puck he could not get any horse for his money. At long last he returned home with his own horse. When he left Puck he began to gallop the horse. When he was coming up Annack the galloping had reached a climax, and the horse stumbled, and fell. John was thrown off, and his neck was broken, also the horse was killed.
