Salt was also put into milk for same reason + also as a preventative against "slinging".
On May morning people vied with each other to have the first of the well.

The Reacashla road was made in '79 or 80. Workers were paid 1/2 a day dietless + a horse got 5/- They worked from six to six. The wood was planted at the same time + same hire was paid.
