- There is a treasure supposed to be hidden in the border of the county in Dun an óir. It was put there by the Fitzgeralds when they were fighting in Ireland. One night two men made an attempt to carry it but it failed. Soon after two men tried for it and found it. They dug a big hole until they came to a rock. They raised up the rock and they found a crock of gold rolled up in a horses skin. They put back the rock and when they were going home a fairy followed them. They got such a fright that they left the gold after them. They came again next day and took home the gold.
