  1. Cíll an Anama:- Stretches south from Cill Chuáin into Cordal. In this townland is a cemetery which bears the same name. Why is it called this name however, is a much disputed point. Some say that it means "The church of the Sauls," and others say that it means "the church of the one name only. The latter is more generally accepted because it is a cemetery for the Fitzgerald family only. The Earl of Desmond who was killed at Glocenaneenta is buried there.
Cill Chuáin:- It is a townland at the foot of Crocán mountain and extending towards the south. So called because Saint Cuan is supposed to have lived there for some time.
