1. In the early days people were married at home but later on went to Church. Then, later on the journey home the couple travelled in a cover-car, drawn by two horses while the wedding-guests rode on horse-back and raced to the bride's house. People put ropes across the road and demanded money.
2 The girls used to dress in bonnets and flannel - dress dyed in bog-wood. These dresses were very narrow-boddied and whooped - skirts. In these skirts a snow-drop twig made a whoop and was sewn in a fold. This dress of skirt was called "the Grecian Bond" All ladies ware "clastie [?] shoes
