  1. Long ago a man named Paddy BOg lived in Glounagh. He was employed by a farmer herding cattle. When the cattle used to be brought in the morning to be milked, one of the cows had no milked milk and this happened for a few mornings. The farmer accused the herder of milking his cow. The herder made up his mind to watch the cattle to find out what was milking the cow. At the dawn of the day, as the herder was to retire, to his surprise he saw a hare a sitting under the cow sucking her. He called his dogs, and they gave chase to the hare. The hare made for a little house near by, and as he was going through a little window one of the dogs took a bite out of him. The herder followed the dogs to the house to find the hare. He went into the house, and he saw an old woman in bed.
