Ar an leathanach seo

  1. It is said that there lived in Kilflynn many years ago a very holy saint named St. Flionn. The ream meaning of the name is "Cille Flionn" which means the Church of Flionn and this is how Kilflynn got its name.
    About a quarter of a mile form the village there is a holy well called St. Flionn's well and it is said that the children of the parish were baptised here long ago. The water in this well is always very cool both Summer and Winter and people say it has a special cure for sore eyes.
    People visit it certain times during the year and they always carry something with them to leave at the well such as a holy picture or a bunch of flowers or some other gift. When a person visits the well a little is plain to be seen all around the well
