- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to make a bargain as horses are always tried for wind and blemishes. There is a crowd following up those fairs which are called "horse blockers" and help to make the bargain and are paid by seller and buyer. The halter always goes with the animal when sold.
I never heard, or even old people of any other fair being held in Blennerville only the one on the 19th Dec.
- On Christmas night when it gets dark all the boys of the place gather together and torch the wren from underneath the thatch for St Stephens day. On that day every three or four of them gather together(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
