  1. The districts of Cullen and Knocknagree were once ruled by a family named the O'Keeffee's. One Sunday a number of them mounted their horses and came towards Knocknagree Co Cork as they had a dispute with the Priest. The Priest heard this and having celebrated Mass at Knocknagree mounted his horse and proceeded to meet them.
    Having met them he took out his Prayer Book and began to read. His reading cast some spell over the men and horses of the O'Keeffee clan.
    At this moment a white ship was seen sailing up the river. The Priest stepped into it and sailed
