    then twisted. All the men, with once exception, sat in a circle with legs crossed on the ground. This one man sat in the centre of the circle. A man in the circle took the rope, he hit the man on the centre with it then passed it quickly to the man next him under his feet. If the man in the centre succeeded in getting the rope and before it was passed tot he next player he changed places with this man. While the game was in progress they all called out 'Ratha - Ratha'.
    (This game was common in Wast Mayo and was called "Catch the Rat")
    My Nine Daughters
    This game was common in the same districts as Ratha and was played in the following manner.
    One man who was called Mr OBrien stood with nine other behind him. Nine others came in with a leader who said the following lines _
