Ar an leathanach seo

The people long ago believed in superstitions but they don't believe in them so much now.

Here are some of (lh) the old superstitions.
Do not give anything on May day.
Do not throw out dirty water at night, because they say that the souls of the people walk around at night and that if you throw out water you might throw it on them.
Some people would not give away milk without putting salt in it fearing you might bring away their luck.
People do not clean out their cowhouses on New Year's day.
If you went into a house and the people were churning you should give a dreas because they say you would be bringing their luck.
