  1. There were two landlords in this district in times gone by. These were Sir Josslyn Gore-Booth and Basil Phibbs. Their fathers were landlords in the district as far back as can be remembered. These men were looked upon as being good landlords. The land was divided into farms under their guidance.
    Years before these men came into possession of the land there were some cruel landlords in the locality.
    They were cruel tyrants who sometimes evicted people from their homes.
    The landlords had agents whom they sent from house to house to collect the rents and also tithes of
