Long ago there were no motor-cars so the couple had to go in carriages drawn by four horses or in side cars that were used in those days. Ribbons and flowers were often tied on the cans and they looked very nice and attractive. If the bride forgot anything she would not be let go back to her house for it as it was said it would bring ill luck. It was said that July was the luckiest month of the year to get married. The most of the people got married in tis month. December was supposed to be the unlucky month.
