A few years ago the road running through Carnaree was tarred. Before it was tarred the road was sanded and it was very rough for motor-cars and bicycles.
All the people in Carnaree are farmers. Carnaree is in the parish of Ballymote and the barony of Corrane.
There are no historic places in this district, there are only a few old forts and most of these are leveled to the ground.
There is only one small shop that sells only a few tings. Motor-vans pass by selling groceries. Carnaree is four miles from the nearest town called Ballymote.
There are a good many old men living in this district. There are two(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
