Ar an leathanach seo
- The people used grate potatoes and then they used put it into a clean cloth and wring the water off it. they would put it into a bowl along with a few spoons of flour and some new milk and a little salt. When well mixed they would bake it on a pan before the fire.

- The people used thrash the oats and then dry it before the fire. They had two round stones aout the size of the rim of a wheel-barrow. There was a hole in the middle of each stone and through the hole was a long iron. The people would put the oats between the stones and then twist the iron. These stones were called 'quarns.'
The would mix the oatmeal with water and then whenit would be firm they would bake it on what they called bread-irons before the fire. These cakes were very hard.
They made oatmeal porridge which they ate for(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
