  1. There was a great saint born in Bella about two miles from here. His name is saint Fechin. He built a great church there and in those days churches were very scarce.
    There is a hall there called after him. There is a rock near that church and it is called St. Fechin's bed. There is part of that church there yet and any one that has a pain in this back goes there to get cured.
    His mothers name was Fassera and his fathers name was Columba.
