- We have no churn at home but some of our neighbours have them. The kind of churn I have seen is one about four feet high and a foot and a half wide.
There are various part in the church, such as:- The lid, the dash, the joggler, and the churn itself. The churning is usually done twice a week in summer and once in winter. If a neighbour or any other one comes in during the churning they usually take a "dreas" at the churn, because it is said if they did not they might take away the butter.
