  1. The Hall field owned by Mr Michael Feeney, is so called as over a Century ago, the hall door of Captain - Wood's house, over looked that field, and it is still called the hall-field. The castle field owned by Mr Michael Browne is so called as there is a castle built on it. The stoney garden owned by Mr Patrick Kilcullen is so called as there is a lot of stones in it. McDonagh's rock is so called, as on the shore opposite Mr Michael McDonagh's land the rock is and sometimes it is called the black rock as it is of a black colour.
