    In Ireland There is not many birds. There are a lot of different birds. The most common of them being the swallows the robin and the seagull. In the winter when it is very cold most of the birds go to warmer countries There are birds that remain in Ireland during the cold winter Two of them are the seagul and the robin
    It is said that the swallow got its funny tail when a snake it a triangular piece out of it. There is an old story connecting our Lord with the robin. Before our Lord got crucified he had a crown of thorns and when the robin saw the thorns he began to pick at them. Whilst he was doing so he fell at Our Lords feet. A drop of blood fell on the robin's breast. Thus making it red and he was called robin-redbreast from that day onwards.
