- ST. JAMES'S WELL: ( GEEVAGH )First used by St. Patrick. In early times there was a church round it, which was a sanctuary for priests in troubled times. Nothing now remains save the ruins.Over the well an altar is erected, to show people that Holy Mass was formerly celebrated here.On the feast of St. James the "Stations" are made around the outer part of the ruins: they consist of three Rosaries, starting at one end of the wall finishing up at the other.Miracles have been worked there rarely.Visitors bring fresh flowers for the altar, or some other small token in honour of St. James.
