- MArriages take place in this locality usually after the Harvest work is done as a farmer cannot spend a day out if he has work to do! Thursday is considered a lucky day for the bride to change her home. The bridal party usually employs one or two cars (motor) to take them to Rosses Point, Bundoran, or Dromahaire for the day. There they sometimes have tea but the usual form of refreshment it stout and minerals. The groom pays for most of the drink and the drunker the men get the better wedding party they have had.
