Another evening the same man was mowing in a field near this fort, when an unseen mower kept mowing the swathe next to him. He tried to alter his position, but no matter how he tried, the unseen one kept at his work.

For several years a light was seen in this townland. It was a round blue light and travelled very fast bout five or six feet from the ground. Several people saw this light.
The strange thing about it was that while some of a party saw the light, other could not see it.
It was called "The Cologoboy Light"
