    Most of the farm animals were originally wild, and it was on the chase of these animals that man lived. Then he brought some of them home and made them tame and found out that they were of more use alive than dead.
    Some of the cows here got names such as "Cooley", "Polly," and some of them are called by their colour.
    The calls for various kinds of animals are "How,! How!," for the cows
    "Suck! Suck" for the calves
    Hurrish! Hurrish! for the pigs
    chuck! Chuck! for the hens
    wheet! wheet! for the ducks.
    (1 picture of the Sacred Heart or a medal is hung on the back of the door in the byre to bring good luck on the cattle.
