- Manorhamilton got its name from a man of the name Sir Frederick Hamilton.
He had a castle at Manorhamilton and its ruins are still there. He had tunnels running under the ground a mile and a half in length. He was a very cruel man and used to kill people - both priests and other holy people at a bush. The bush is still there and it grew white with old age. The ruins of the castle are still there also.

Along with the witches to dwell,

And his soul emigrated to hell."- Faisnéiseoir
