- This was very common 60 to 70 years ago but has completely died out. They were frequently played - on Sundays - on what is now called "the Flat or Strand. This is a rabbit warren, formerly belonged to Lord Ashley, now to Irish Land Commission. It lies 600 yards so so from Cliffoney village, on the way to Mullaghmore. On it matches are played presently.Before Ashley gave permission to play on this, the matches were played on the seashore.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
