When he was dying he said to Mc Morrough,"I shall have my revenge either living or dead."
Some time after the fight Mc Morrough was returning home from Sligo late one night riding on his mule. On his way, he had to pass the graveyard, in which the protestant whom he had killed was buried. Just as he was passing the graveyard the dead protestant rode out before him, riding on the same horse, which he rode at the fight and armed in the same way.
The dead man seized Mc Morroug's mule by the bridle, and three times tried to drag him inside the graveyard gate. At the third attempt the protestant had the mule partly through the gateway when suddenly(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
