- There is an old graveyard in Callinafercy at a place called Killeen. A sailor was buried there long ago whose body came in with the tide. He was in a ship on a stormy night and it was wrecked. He was drowned. Children who were not baptised were also buried there because the old women say it is not right to bury them in a churchyard. Big stones are put on the graces. Trees are growing all round the place. It is like a fort.
