- Sheep and their diseases Some people are very unlucky with sheep and some people are lucky. People would be unlucky with sheep if dogs were killing them or if they were dying with diseases. The sheep do get a lot of diseases namely Fluke Mange [?]Bullog uisce footrot sore pusses Cocadees and sheep would get maggots in warm weather. Lambs would get the [?]Cruburulla and sore pusses and sore legs. Sheep pills are good for the Fluke. Mange is a very bad disease there is no cure for it except dipping. Blue stone melted in water is good for sore pusses and footrot. Turpentine is a cure for the [?]Cru(t)burulla in lambs. The sheep would come low down in the mountain if there was going to be bad weather and they would go out to the top of the hill if the weather was going to be fine. Lots of sheep die with foot-rot.
