   Father Moriarty.

   You brilliant muses I pray excuse me.
   As I am intruding for to shed some tears.
   In commemoration of our loving pastor.

   And keep his people from going astray.

   When Father Moriarty was on the altar.
   He represented the Son of Man.
   He worked a miracle of consecration
   And took our Saviour between his hands.
   His spirit is fled to his selected region
   A crown of glory for to receive.
   And he left a multitude behind condoling
   Alas no more he will for us preach.

   This great disciple of the Lord's anointing.
   Has left his flock in a firm fold.
   Where wolf or tiger can not annoy them.
   While the great Jehoviat sits on his throne.
   And he left the mission to another region
   Among the martyrs that suffered sore.
   And has left the keys to another servant.
   That was ordained in the Church of Rome.

   How sad and mournful were all the neighbours.
