- About ninty years ago there was a little girl stolen from this parish. Her name was Foley. Her people were looking for her and no one knew where she was.
At that time the people used go to Cork with butter. One day when people were coming from Cork they heard here crying at Ballyvourney.
They stole her away and drove as fast as they could and brought her home.
- There was a Barton girl living in Boolteens and she was going to be married to a man and his name was John Payne and he was living in Sanakeale.
John Payne and his aunt were living in a small cabin and they were very poor until they got a legacy from America.
A few days before the marriage her parents went to Tralee for the wedding outfit.
