  1. For many years travelling people are visiting my home and the most of them usually keep small things for sale such as cups and saucers, tin saucepans, clothes, brushes, and pins and needles.
Those travelling people often obtain their supplies at cheap sales in the neighbouring towns. The most of them are always welcome. Some travelling people buy their food and stay in the house for a few nights. They sleep in the corner.
Some of them are great company and all the neighbours gather in to hear them tell what happened in distant parts and also to hear them give riddles and tell stories. The alms they accept are meal, flour, potatoes, and money.
Some of them travel in families, more in bands, and others singly. The names of the most popular of them are Sheridans, Jim O'Brien, Martin Burns, Tom Coffey, and Paddy Flynn.
