- I have a bunch of bright green Shamrocks
From that far off land of mine.
They grew on Kerry's Emerald hills,
With a beauty all divine.
They come laden with the zephers,
Of my own sweet sunny south,
And I have greeted them with rapture and love kisses from my mouth
I have pressed them to my throbbing heart,
A thousand times and more,
For they tell me tales of Ireland the green land I adore

I have pressed them and caressed them,
All the while the glistening tears,
Start unbidden from their fountain,
While I think of bye-gone years.
They bring me thoughts of happy days,
While my youth was in its prime,
While the skies were ever golden like a glowing summer time.
While I garlanded my shamrock
With my young friends bright and gay,
