When the mixture is of the same consistency as thick gruel it is poured into a wooden box in which is spread a white cloth - a flour bad usually - and is left for a few days to set. Before it is quite hard it is cut into blocks of convenient size. It is then stored in a dry place to get well hardened. This kind of soap is excellent for scrubbing and for washing rough clothes.Written by
