  1. My townland is Dunowla and it in the parish of Kilmacshalgan and in the barony of Tirenagh. There are twenty seven families in Dunowla and there are ninety-one people in it. The family name most common is Kilgannon. There is only one slated house in Dunowla, all the rest are thatched Dunowla got its name from the fort of the Howlets or Cawleys. There are eleven people over seventy years in Dunowla. They do not tell stories in Irish by they tell stories in English. The names and the addresses of the people over seventy years are:-
