- Long ago the people used to be buying and selling after mass. They would all gather together to some old cross road and here they would spend their day swapping and bartering. The people used always give "boot" to each other. They used also give time to each other for paying back the money. This was called "earnest" or "time". The people used also have slang terms when they used be buying and selling. These slang terms were said by the person who would be buying the animals. They would say first when the would meet you, was the morning fine when you were leaving the house in the morning. Then they would say will you buy or will be(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
