    There was a castle at Glenlappa, Newtownsandes.

    they were killed in the river below. You can see the print of the horse's and the foal's hooves in the rock at the bottom of the river, at the present day. The stones were drawn away. The chapel, and a great many houses in the village were built with the stones of the castle.
