    A priest names Fr. George O Callahan was Curate in Newtownsandes.

    A priest named Fr. George O Callahan was Curate in Newtownsandes. Every night he used to hear a terrible noise in his room and could not sleep. He did not tell the parish priest about it. But he asked a schoolmaster from Knockanure to come to the hall - door at twelve oclock in the night. When he came there, Father George met him, and told him to take off his shoes, so as not to make noise lest that the parish priest should awake. He took him up to his room and there he saw a table laid with vestments. The priest asked him to kneel down and server mass for overs, him, When the mass was over, the priest conveyed the schoolmaster to the hall-door and there he put on his shoes again. The preist wished him good night and the schoolmaster started for home. But got very much afraid on his journey
