- There was once an old woman who had a couple of cows and every May morning she used to go out with her spancel. This May morning she went to a field where there were about twenty cows. She was standing in the middle of the field, winding the spancel and saying "All for me, all for me." There was a young student home on holidays and he used to go out hunting every morning.
This morning he went into the field where the woman was and saw her winding the spancel and saying "All for me all for me" and said out of a joke "Half for me"
