Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Long ago there was no such thing as doctors and therefore the people had to depend on their own cures which were herbs. If a person had a bile he would steep white bread in hot water and put it up to the bile to draw it. If a person got burned he would apply the juice of the dock-leaf. For a sore they had a special leaf one side to draw, and the other to heal. There was a man who used to set charms for cancer. There was ointment made from the alder for burns also. A roasted onion was good for corns.
