- Local StoryLong ago, a man named Richard O'Rahilly lived in Ballylong-ford. One day this man was at a funeral in Lislaughtin Abbey, and he saw a set of teeth, and he said it was a pity that the man that owned the teeth could not be with him for supper that night. The man came home, and when he was eating his supper a very tall man walked in. The people of the house asked him where did he come from, and he answered that he was the man that was invited for supper with them.About ten o'clock the man from the Abbey asked Richard O'Rahilly to go out the road with him.
Richard O'Rahilly went with him and at the Abbey gate they stopped. The(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
