  1. 1) BIRDS AS WEATHER OMENS:-
    a) The Crane heads for the mountain when there are signs of good weather. When a storm is coming she stays around swamps and bog-holes.
    b) The starlings and crows flock together a day or two before a storm and fly low, in proximity to farm-houses. The crows appear to "tumble" before high wind.
    c) The drake usually heads the flock in good weather. When a change is coming he brings up the rear.
    d) Geese flutter and fly wildly about before squally weather.

    2) SIGNS IN THE SKY:-
    a) When the point from which the wind is blowing is clear a fair interval may be expected.
    b) A "curdled" sky denotes rain

    3) SIGNS IN THE FIRE
    a) A downward puff in the chimney is a sign of rain
    b) A blue light in the fire is a sign of storm
    c) Unusually strong heat off the fire in Winter is a sign of forthcoming snowstorm or of frost.

    4) ANIMALS AS WEATHER OMENS:-
    a) A horse or a donkey gallops through the field before a storm
    b) The cat washes her face before rain, and if
